Anyone know if there is a way to clean up the stripey lines that get output with the VIC video ?  I chalk it up to the character of the machine, but be nice to know if there is a hack to clean them up.

Apparently not. I think someone was saying that its internal to the VIC-II. Apparently even some c64s suffer from it.

I dont understand why the C128s seem worse - maybe just the chip run?

You can get rid of those lines... just use RF output...   ;)

Or turn down the sharpness on the monitor.  ;-)

Those lines are the bane of my existence. They're the only thing about that 128 that irritates me. There has to be a way to resolve the issue. Does anyone know what causes the lines exactly? Maybe there is a hardware hack that can be done to reduce the problem.
Call me Golan; my parents did.

Actually I wonder if Bil could weigh in on this topic - would be interesting to hear where he thinks the bug originates from....
