I know that some of you are familair w/ the Amiga w/ the Viedo Toaster in it. I have a A4000T but am missing (surprisingly) the monitor. Will a 1084S work with this unit as I have one of those?

I think my Brother scarfed the monitor from my Dad!

Thanks!

Yup the 1084S will be more than a good match ... make use of the RGB connector (press the analog button on the back rather than the digital for the 128) and you get an excellent picture.

Commodore 128, 512K 1750 REU, 1581, 1571, 1541-II, MMC64 + MP3@64, Retro-Replay + RR-Net and a 1541 Ultimate with 16MB REU, IDE64 v4.1 + 4GB CF :-)

Thanks! I really want to sell this system as a whole system (only because it is dedictated to video processing and will most likely sell best that way). I want it to be as complete as possible. so far so good! It looks brand new and has a ton of add-ons.

A 1084S will work as will a 1070, 1080, 1084 or 2002. What you really want is a 1950 or better yet, a 1960.

Thanks for the other options but since I have a monitor that will work I doubt I'll invest in another one that would be a better fit than the 1084S.

Hey does anyone have any feedback on the 2002?  For some reason I always saw this monitor as the absolute coolest Commodore monitor. Probably just because of it's numeric name.   But I was always curious about it vs other Commodore monitors.

They're decent monitors and my C= monitor of choice. I quite like the design (same as the Amiga 1080), the picture is decent and you can use them on Amigas and 8bits including the 128. Very versatile.

I have a 2002 and it's great for OCS and ECS Amigas, but stinks for AGA Amigas because you can only run the original 15hz Amiga modes on it.  If you are going to use AGA with your Amiga 4000T then you need get one of the C= RGB-VGA adapters.  This will allow you to run the "Productivity" modes such as 800x600 and 640x400.  All AGA games requires these modes as they output 60hz video.

If you are very fortunate, you might find an LCD TV that can sync to 15hz on the VGA input, in which case you would be able to use all of the modes on your Amiga 4000 from that VGA adapter.

Payton,

Thanks for the info!

I am just getting it ready to sell though but your info will be helpful to a perspective buyer.

Thanks again!

Just remember that what I said about the 2002 applies to all of the monitors for the original Amiga's, including the vaunted 1084s.
