Girl who likes to videotape herself opening things finds a boxed 128 and 1571 in her garage...

Definitely not something I expected to find when searching for "Commodore 128".

She says they've never been opened before, but the manuals and papers seem to be missing... unless they're in the bottom of the box. Still, even if they weren't BRAND brand new, they both look otherwise in perfect condition. If I were her dad, I don't know if I'd want to kill her or be happy that she took some interest in it. Actually, if I were her dad, that 128 definitely wouldn't have been sitting neglected in a box... I'd be using it, mint condition be damned! :)

Well, if we see another Commodore 128 "new in box" pop up on eBay soon, we can guess who it belongs to. ;)

Have people gone COMPLETELY NUTS!?!??

First that girl ripping into a MINT C128 like it was just a box of donuts, now this:

Just look at this C128 I found on eBay/de today. DON'T TURN AWAY!!! LOOK AT IT!!

Ach, Mein Gott!

Case mod gone horribly wrong?

What is it with those Germans anyway? First, the Gold C64... now, the Black 128!?

Why was her first instinct to make a video of the unpacking and and why would anyone want to watch a video of someone unpacking something? Is this a new fad with the kids? Weird.
Call me Golan; my parents did.

Seems to be. This accidental discovery inspired me to see what other unpacking videos are available, and apparently they number into the thousands. I suppose Youtube would be some sort of heaven for someone with an unpacking fetish.

Reading the comments at the original video, it's clear her dad wasn't even aware she was in his stuff.

"whos computer was it?" "uhm... probably my dads, but he never opeened it"

And ominously, she promises this won't be the last of the garage diving:

"Omg thats ages old. Crazy how technology changes within accouple of decades."
"yep, suscribe for more =]"

I sure hope her parents keep their bedroom door locked...

Now this guy ( 280164831400 ) painted his C128, but at least he DIDN'T PAINT THE FRIGGIN' KEYBOARD!!!

Hmm kinda makes me want to grab that can of gold paint, and make a video.. heck if I can sell it for $2000 on ebay.. I could even say MINT, NEW OLD STOCK, VINTAGE, VERY RARE...

Hmm I have a few GOLD 1571's and a 1080s and even a GOLD Edition of Radar Rat Race, IN ORIGIONAL PACKAGING...

Ooops forgot to say..

No warrenty is implied, I do not have the ability to test any of these ( even though in the description and in the picture the potential buyer can see the cables and power supply as well as floppies laying around.. )
I always love how they say they can't test the equipment. Kids ages 5 and up use to get C64's under the christmas tree and now days Adults with engineering degree's can't seem to figure out how to test the equipment they sell on ebay. They do know it is NEW, and rare..

The best part is my 2 year old daughter pulls the computer desk chair out from under the desk, climbs up into the chair and she turns it all on. Then she starts typing on the keyboard of my C128... Ahhh I love my daughter :)
I can't wait til she is 3, I won't have to debug anymore.. "here hun dad is done, can you fix this code for me.. thanks dear! "

Like this? It's worth looking at all Al's Commodore mods.

What leads me to assume they are usually outright lying is the fact that it is much more complicated to set up an eBay auction with digital photographs than it is to plug an RF cable between the Commodore and a TV set and change to channel 3/4.
