Hello, C= and Ami friends (especially those in Europe),
In about 10 days, I take my triennial trip to Europe, and if you are in the following locales, I'd be glad to meet you.  Here is my itinerary --

June 10 I leave San Francisco.  June 11 I arrive in London, England.  Home base - Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

June 12 I will attend the South Essex Amiga Link (SEAL) meeting in Wickford, England. http://www.seal-amiga.co.uk

June 16-18 I am in Paris, France (ah, no C=/Ami stuff to do there).

June 20-22 I am in the Netherlands and will go to the Commodore Show in Maarssen. http://commodore-gg.hobby.nl/

June 24 I will be at the Commodore Scene meeting in northern England (tentative), or barring that, then a visit to AmigaKit.com in Cardiff, Wales.

June 26-29 I will be at the Amigathering 9 (Amiga computer event) in Rodos (island of Rhodes), Greece.  http://www.amigathering.gr

June 30-July 2 I will be in Germany and will go to the Dienstagstreff Bunker Commodore meeting in Bochum (near Dusseldorf).
http://www.dienstagstreff.de

July 4-6 I will be in Antwerp, Belgium and will go to the Amigaclub.be meeting. http://www.amigaclub.be

July 6-8 I will be in Aberdeen, Scotland to visit my relatives.  July 10 I leave London and head back to the USA.

During these travels, I may or may not have access to e-mail; forgive me if I am delayed in responding to inquiries or making reports.

Still gathering gifts for my European friends,

That's quite a nice itinerary you've got there, Robert.  I'm jealous!  ;)

Or you could be the wise one by not going through all the hassle and by saving all your money.  :-)  Just finished booking my VLM Air flight from London City Airport to Antwerp.  If I were able to swing it, I could have saved another 26 pounds (52 dollars US) by getting an earlier flight in and out, but because I am on a tight schedule, I had to pick a more popular (more expensive) flight at a more convenient time.  Now just one more return flight to book -- the one between London Heathrow and Aberdeen.  As soon as VLM reaches London City on Sunday, I have to dash across the city to Heathrow Airport in order to make the British Air flight to Aberdeen.  And I have only 2 1/2 hours to make it across the city.  Easier said than done, because I have to transfer from shuttle bus/taxi to Tube station to another Tube station (or that's how I think it goes).

Really pushing myself on that day,

Hey... That sounds a lot like flying into Tokyo at Narita airport and having a continuing flight out of Haneda airport.  They're both in the Tokyo area, but nowhere near each other.  I never had to do that personally, but I know people who did.

:-)  I solved my problem of trying to get to Heathrow from London City.  I booked a later flight on British Air, which now gives me plenty of time to make it across the city.  (Hmm, my British contacts told me to go the 27 miles to Heathrow takes 3 hours!)

The photos can be divided into several sections -- the first 6 photos from my visit to the South Essex Amiga Link (SEAL), the next 7 photos of FCUG member Selwyn Aston and Plus/4 king Peter Hanson, the next 2 photos of the set-ups of Shaun Bebbington of the Commodore Computer Club UK, the next 3 photos of the Commodore Scene meeting, and the last photo is miscellaneous.

My photos of the June 21, 2008 Netherlands Commodore Show are now posted at

Many hardware photos adorn the page (people at the show are caught in my video), including those of the rare PDC Clipper!
