Any idea if the "Incredible Musical Keyboard" (seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Commodore-64-Incredible-Musical-Keyboard-RARE_W0QQitemZ330135257906QQihZ014QQcategoryZ74945QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) overlay works on the C128 (I'd assume that the keyboard layout is different enough to prevent using it... but just thought I'd ask).
It only works on the older C64.
It was a pretty good idea in its day. The software
consisted of a sequencer and an editor and worked
well.
There was a version of Music Maker called Music Maker 128 designed to fit a C128!
Allan Bairstow, former Editor of Commodore Scene emagazine, has one in his collection. (I hate him, because I want it so bad.)

I have this for the bread-bin 64 and it's a hoot to play on even if the bread-bin's keyboard royally sucks and you have to pound the piano keys to get a result.
The breadbox versions come up every once in awhile on eBay. There's one up there now, in fact. But I've never even SEEN the C128 version!
Well, there are only two hours left, but there's one for sale up on eBay UK. I asked, and airmail shipping to the States is £12 British. the current bid is £7.99. That's about $40 in real money. Wish it fit into my budget right now. We'll probably never see another one in our lifetimes:

It just sold for £13.50. With £12 shipping, that's about $51.50 US. I STILL wish I had it. :(
Hi Mark,
I'm sure we'll see more of these on eBay.
