A looooong time ago someone asked me to implement this. At the time, I ran into all sorts of issues & simply couldn't do it. Now, I think I've got it mostly working.

Report any bugs, issues etc back.
Notes :
It isn't (yet) 100% real-time. A fetch is done once an hour (so you may notice delays loading a large group).
There is no sanity checking on email addresses it'll post whatever you type in as your address.
Every now and again the cron job to clean up old messages doesn't, it duplicates everything (next time round it cleans up properly though).
Large groups (ie comp.sys.cbm) can take up to a minute to do a full refresh.
Anyway, try it out.
Looks very nice in Lynx. That should make a few people happy although if they have shell access to a UNIX box to run Lynx/Links, they probably have access to tin/trn/slrn etc. Regardless, another access method is always handy.
So far it seems to be working as expected in FireFox and IE both on my Windows XP Professional based PC. Great work.

Goodo - I can obviously expand it to add in any other newsgroup too.

Nice work, Lance! Much better than Google Groups or the few other web readers I've tried. :tummenupp:
Excellent! Now, I'll be able to check the newsgroups while at work...:P
Hmm, I didnt get anything today on it - maybe youre in the middle of doing some work on it? Just says "Classic 8 Bit Computer Web Newsreader" then empty.
ooooor.....just refreshing my browser fixed it... :)

That will likely happen - I haven't yet worked out how to force it to properly auto-refresh (told you it's just experimental at this stage!) - but that's all good, more fault reports the better.
cheers,
Lance
Hmm... where did c.s.c go?
