We are pleased to announce the Commodore 128 Game Coding Competition 2006!

Commodore 128 Game Coding Competition 2006 is a friendly competition designed to see what artistic creativity exists in the C128 community.

RULES

- Entries must be original programs
- The result must be playable on a real 128 and VICE
- The competition starts Saturday September 2nd 2006
- Entries must be submitted on or before December 2nd, 2006
- there will be a competion page at this site with the submissions & you'll have the opportunity to vote for your favourite submission

SUBMISSIONS

- Submissions must be made by email to admin (at) landover.no-ip.com
- Format of submissions to be in either D81, D64 or PRG format

I think I'm going to have a stab at entering this ... been a while since I did anything that made me think :-)

Don't expect anything fancy mind :-)

well.... how well is the 128 emulation in VICE? There is some faults so it is a little tricky to get it to work in both.... It sounds like something fun to try out.....

I'm not sure about how much time I would have. It would have to be simplistic to some extent.... does REU count or is this based on stock? Does the game have to be limited to the 16K VDC or 64K VDC if we use VDC mode. The difference can make a difference.

For the most part, to make competition fair, I would think that if the VDC is used that we stick within 16K VDC. In case of 128DCR (North American metal case). Then again, it would be fun to see what can be done.

All 128's - therefore 'lowest common denominator' - 16k VDC, no expansion.

Does it have to be a graphic app?  could it be, for example, an infocom like game? if it's original of course :-).

Got it - all you need to do to post youtube videos is use the youtube BB Code (instructions can be found in the How To Post post)
