There you go letting the cat out of the bag again and since you did I might as well mention that there's an SD-1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200188347412) too. I'm fixing to buy one of those but I'll wait until the last minute to bid. Not going to be cheap, I'm afraid.

...but it DOES raise a question I've always had: do they use the same controller so you could add a floppy (physically tough, I know) to the SD-1 and make an SD-2?

Supposedly, true.  I've seen an MSD SD-1 case that had been expanded to be a MSD SD-2 with the requisite second drive mechanism.  Of course, to be sure, I should compare the SD-1 board directly with the SD-2 board.  (No problem!)
