Title: Error in files area
Post by: StyleCHM on January 08, 2008, 04:18 PM
Firstly, I went to download Unix128 and got a 404 error?

Secondly

Risen from Oblivion 2001.zip
Excellent 80 column demo released in 2001 that shows off the capabilities of the 128. This one may have problems running under VICE. On a real 128 this demo requires a 64k VDC.

is not true - the demo will run happily with 16k VDC, I think with 64k VDC it will slightly expand a couple of the effects.

Ive run it with both 16k and 64k, and I didnt notice the difference. I asked Graham about it, and i think he said one of the graphics is bigger with 64k, and i think the plasma is slightly bigger or something.

Anyway, small issue :)

Looks like you hit the old file area - try here : http://landover.no-ip.com/128/download.php?c=UNIX-128

None of the download links works when you try to download something. Not even the one you type above. I tried to download some GEOS 128 stuff, and it was file not found: http://landover.no-ip.com/files/GEOS/GEOS128Office.zip (snipped from your download page on the main site).

No, files download does not work at all. At least trying to reach files from the links at http://www.commodore128.org/
Anybody knows the correct link to the files?

thank you

ok, but there's no file to be downloaded (at least the ones I looked, e.g. C128 sound & music players, editors & samples), or at least very few. What happened to the geos cathegory?
I read a crash of the server happened some time ago. Is it because of this that most of the files are gone? When will they be restored?

thanx,
Ready.
