Title: C-128 Player for SID files?
Post by: 6502Dude on October 06, 2006, 01:30 AM
I never got too involved playing music on my C-128 back in the mid 80's.

However I find there are a considerable number of SID files.

The players I have tested for C-128 seem to want "MUS" files and source format.

Do I need to convert the SID files, or is there a C-128 player which will directly play SID files?

All of them ? I seem to vaguely recall I might having something here. Will check through my disks this weekend & if I find what I'm after I'll upload it to here.

That would be awesome if you had something that plays sid files directly.  my searches, like 6502Dude also returned .mus only players.

If you have one awesome.  I believe though, that in the sid file format, there's 2 bytes to store the address of the sid file. not sure if that can be overlooked.  But if it can, awesome.  I think we all have the HSVC collection with thousands of songs just waiting to be played ;-).
