Title: C128 Forth?
Post by: airship on February 01, 2008, 04:41 AM
The Official Commodore Languages List (http://www.npsnet.com/danf/cbm/languages.html#FORTH) says 'no', but does anyone know of a version of Forth for the C128?

Do any of you use Forth? I was pretty fond of it back in the day, but I've forgotten nearly all that I knew about it. If there was a C128 version, it might get me fired up again.

i know that there are one or two implementations for c64, so you could run it in 64 mode al least, but i don't know if that is what you want...

No C128 versions that I know of, unless you count generic CP/M-80 stuff. But perhaps the open source volksForth (http://volksforth.sourceforge.net/) could be adapted.

Sure looks to be CP/M-only. What's most interesting to me is that they considered the C128 CP/M market to be viable enough to package software specifically for it. There wasn't much that was. I'm sure they didn't sell too many copies.
