Hmmm, I was just looking into forums and noticed that in the title of this forum there is no C116 included. I know that C116 was just a C16 with gummy keyboard and a bit smaller but it was also produced and it was my first computer :) C116 is also part of 264 series :)

Seriously, those old chicklet keyboards (Sinclair, etc.) and the membrane keyboards (Atari 400) were horrid.
The best keyboard ever made was the IBM Model M. Solid steel with massive key springs. It weights 100 lbs. (45 kilos). I've still got one attached to my PC at home.
Yes, this keyboard sucks, but it was easy to repair :) The main advantage was that it was sa small and the most important: it was my first computer :)
Today I have compared it to plus4 and the difference was much more visible than I have expected. I really like this one :)
The Plus/4 keyboard was also interesting, as in 'those cursor keys looked good in the design drawings, but they sure suck to use.'
But don't get me started on what's wrong with the Plus/4.
I'm glad you like yours. There was nothing inherently wrong with the way it ran. It was mostly Commodore's management - or lack thereof.

100 pounds? Are you sure about that? It's hard for me to imagine a keyboard that would need a hand truck to lift it. I think the model M's were more like 5 or 6 pounds (~ 2-3 kg). Looks like they're still manufactured, too, by Unicomp. See here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_M_keyboard).

I'd take a chiclet keyboard over a membrane keyboard anytime. :-) Score one for Commodore!

Andrew, that's what I like to call 'humor'. Although others may have a differing opinion, of course. :)
If it does weigh 100lbs then I think it may be more accurate to describe your computer as being attached to it. :)
