Happy almost Halloween, C=/Ami aficionados,
The Fresno Commodore User Group has its next meeting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19 at
The Pizza Pit
2701 N. Blackstone Ave. (corner of
Blackstone and Princeton)
Fresno, California
At this month's meeting we will discuss CommVEx 2009 funding. In the demonstrations, we will look into the AmigaOne G4 computer, the 64JPX adapter for Commodore/Atari, and the Fotios-modified RGB-to-VGA adapter for the C128.
If I seem a bit tired during the meeting, that will be due to my attending the AmiWest Show 2008 ( http://www.sacc.org ) in Sacramento on Friday and Saturday.
Truly,
Robert Bernardo

For the meeting, I don't know if I'll have the new Amiga OS 4.1 installed in time for the A1, because I will be buying it the day before at the show. (Yeah... and the newly-bought 256 mb Radeon 9250 graphics board is not scheduled to be delivered until Oct. 15. That's cutting it close.)
Also Roger V.P. is coming in to buy a p.s. from us for his VIC-20. I plan to compare my Jiffy-DOSsed VIC-20 and PAL VIC-20 with his.
Following up,
Robert Bernardo

It was decided to offer certain C= hardware items first through Craigslist.org, and if that fails, then eBay.com as a last resort.

OS 4.1 was installed in the A1 on Saturday at the AmiWest Show, and it is running smoothly. The Radeon 9250 board did not arrive (the wrong one was sent), and so, the A1 is still using its original Radeon 8500, which limits object transparency on OS 4.1.
The NTSC VIC-20 was set up with a Jungle Hunt cartridge, the 64JPX, and a Sega joystick. It works! We ran out of time to set up the C128 and try out the RGB-to-VGA adapter.
