As usual at this time of year, I'm planning next year's summer vacation. Unlike this year, no big European travels. Next year it's continental North America. Following in the footsteps of Andrew Wiskow, I have the idea of taking the Amtrak train to Salt Lake City, Utah, in order to visit Computer Bargain Store, home of C= hardware and software for sale. Then I'd continue onto Holly, Colorado and visit Loadstar disk magazine's Dave Moorman. Both of us would then backtrack to Fort Collins, Colorado and visit the Fort Collins Commodore Club.
The particular train line I'd be using doesn't go to Kansas City, Kansas, and so, I'm considering a flight from Denver, Colorado to Kansas City. Then I could visit the Commodore Users Club of Kansas City.
At the AmiWest Show on Saturday, Steve Solie of the Amiga Users of Calgary (Alberta, Canada) said that if I were to visit in the summer, he'd call a special club meeting to order. That's hospitality!
Must figure how to budget the
combination of train rides and airflights,
