COMMODORE FREE
Issue 25 October 2008
Hmm, you're right. Nigel has issue 24 listed as issue 23 and calls issue 24 the October issue. I'd better send him an e-mail to let him know to straighten out everything.

You posted that but you didn't try to download the issue yourself?

Message sent. He's 7 hours ahead of me right now, and so, he'll reply when he wakes up in the morning.

I guess he jumped the gun...

Heh, Nigel not only needs proofreading for his magazine but also for his announcements and website. :-) At least, he admits to it.

It's a good thing Nigel didn't post the incorrect announcement to multiple newsgroups and forums.

Ok, my mistake. I was working on issue 25 [November] and took the index and posted that as issue 24 [September]. I was hoping to get ahead, but working on things for too late I guess the late nights caught me up. :-(
SO
Issues 24 and 25 are available to download

Well, I'm glad to see that's straightened out, but I'm disappointed that the '1520 Gears' article is nothing more than a parroting of the thread here on C128 Alive!
acadiel said he'd take pre-orders until Oct. 15 and see how much interest there was in buying metal gears. I know these things generally run into overtime, but I sincerely hope he'll check back in here soon and let us know how things are going.
I just bought a 2nd complete 1520 on the eBays and I'd like to get both of mine up and running. (And yes, I still have three spare mechanisms, all with broken gears...)

Yeah, Nigel writes to me that he is very busy, especially with a newborn to take care of. :-)
