Currently many SMF forums are being flooded by porn spambots. This is not a security issue for any SMF forum, rather some spam herder has decided to search out & attack SMF 1.1.x based forums.
Of the four SMF based forums I run, only the Commodore PET Alive! forum has so far been a victim (though somewhat less than when it was running PunBB). I've tightened up the registration method on that board & can go a few steps further if required.
Any spam that does appear I delete ASAP (if a new member posts on their first visit on any of the sites I get notified by email).
Commodore 128 Alive!, Ferries of Sydney (http://landover.no-ip.com/sydneyferries/forum/index.php) & Knights of Avalon are (so far) unaffected.
Please be assured that no member details are exposed to the spammers.

That would be Toronto. From what I've read Toronto has a larger gay population than San Francisco but because of our overall population, the percentage is smaller. I've also heard that Toronto has one of, if not the, largest gay community of any city. Yay us. We're very "festive" (Simpsons fans will get that).
It's interesting to watch the city be painted pink every year for
Pride Week (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pride_Week_(Toronto)). Think what you will about homosexuals, those folks know how to organize a parade.

I only would've guessed it was Toronto because it's the biggest... But hell, I'm certainly no expert on Canadian cities... It could've been Whitehorse for all I know! ;)
