Being somewhat bored this evening, I decided to pit Sargon II against the Chess Titans app that comes with Vista. Im pleased to say that Sargon beat the snot out of Chess Titans. In fairness to Vista, CT was set to "Basic" or "Novice". But still... they ought to be ashamed ;)

Time to pit Chessmaster 2000/2100 against Chess Titans! :)

Hooray for the Commodore!
I'd be interested to know how Battle Chess on the C64 fares against Windows Vista, too. ;)
(I'd try it myself, but I don't have any PC's with Windows Vista)
Id give it a go...but only under WinVICE. Battlechess is way too slow on a real 64, to do something like this. I was surprised at the speed of Sargon actually.

I tried to speed up Battle Chess with a SuperCPU, but it choked on that hardware (though I've never tried it with the TurboMaster). The Amiga version of Battle Chess is speedier.

I know what you mean... It's too bad there's no way to use warp mode only when the drive is being accessed. It's not
too bad with JiffyDOS under WinVICE though...
