Title: Database connectivity issues
Post by: Blacklord on December 01, 2008, 09:40 AM
Somewhere last night the db machine decided it was going to refuse accepting connections from SMF. I *think* I've corrected the problem but will be monitoring it on & off today for any other issues.

Only glad this happened before I went away :)

That box is running OpenSolaris 2008.05 & is the test machine to eventually migrate everything to........ Only if it behaves :)

Ah, I was wondering what happened.  At first, it appeared that the entire site had disappeared -- DNS said the site didn't exist.  When I tried later on I could connect but the site wouldn't load at all.  Glad to see it's back up and running.  You sure the DB machine didn't sneak out for a quick brew or two?  I'm told that Aussie beer is good stuff.  I, of course, would have absolutely no knowledge of good vs. bad beer!
