Sorry if this is not posted in the right forum-wasn't sure since this involves hardware and software.
Does anyone know if the source code for The Servant 128 is in the public domain and is it availible somewhere?
Thanks,

Yes, I believe it is freely distributable.

As an eprom? Well, others can provide that service, like Al Jackson of the 5C's of Las Vegas. Maybe even Andrew Wiskow.

I believe you can download the original Servant source code at http://zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/c128/utilities/
Look for the "svnt128" files there.
If you're just trying to get an EPROM burned of one, then yes, there are a few of us here, including myself, that can help you. Or, you can download a "ready to burn" copy of the ROM image at http://cottonwood.servebbs.com/wiskow/servant.zip if you have your own EPROM programmer.
Hope this helps! :)
Thanks, guys - but i have the binary files. I'm looking for the text file the author used to compile the code with. Otherwise known as assembler or machine source code.
Any Ideas ?????
You could always use the C128's machine language monitor to disassemble the code. If you use VICE you can "print" the disassembled code to a file and you'll get a quite nice file with the code.
But I guess you also want some sort of commented sourcecode? You can always contact the author. Unfortunately I don't have his mailaddress, but the Servant was written by a guy in Norway called Alf H. Jonassen. Maybe you can find some other reference of him on the internet.
COMMENTED source code !! That's what i was trying to say.
I suppose I can try to hunt him down on the internet. Hope he's still around.

I heard the rumor that he had passed away. :-(

I'm sorry to say that you are right. He died several years ago.
