If I ever get my health back to a point where I can safely make a long-haul flight, Australia is one of only two places on the planet that I haven't visited and would like to see. The other is Ireland.

Does that mean you have visited every country in the world, except those two?! :)

hehehe... That was my first thought when I read what he said, too. But I'm pretty sure that he means that of all the places in the world that he WANTS to see, the only two he hasn't been to are Australia and Ireland.
BTW, I highly recommend Brazil. ;)
Oh... And a Happy Australia Day to you, too, Lance. :D

If Commodores were in Brazil, I would go. However, so far, I only know of Commodores in Argentina (I want to visit there.).

Another place I'd like to visit and meet up with my C= buddies there.

AFAIK, Argentina is the only country that Commodores were marketed in. However, Brazil is a great place even without Commodores. ;)

My first thought as well :)
BTW, I'd like to propose Sweden as a place to visit. The Nordic countries might not give you the nice warm weather that you find in for example California, but it can give you some of the most beautiful places in the World :)

What I meant was Oz and Ireland are the only places I have not visited but would like to see before Pac-Man finally takes me out. Of course, if I go to Oz that means I might have to make a stop in New Zealand as well, so I can see why Fletcher Christian hung around.
So far, I've been, in no particular order, to Canada (of course), Mexico, Jamaica, Bermuda, Virgin Islands, Azores, England, Norway (above the Arctic Circle, no less), Sweden, Iceland, (West) Germany, Holland, Portugal, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. I almost went to Iraq, but that trip didn't pan out after Saddam and company started shooting rockets and missiles at Iran, who naturally responded with a few rockets and missiles to keep the score even. Excepting the trip to Saudia Arabia, I enjoyed all of my visits.

Good list! Here are the countries I've visited: Canada, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines, France, England/Scotland/Wales, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Still on the list to visit: Australia, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, and Poland.
I began international travelling back in 1986, and I've been expanding my journeys ever since then.

Okay, I'll play, too... ;)
Here's my list:
Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany (East & West), Denmark, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, Hong Kong, Macau, and Australia.
Canada, US Virgin Islands, Germany, and France. That's it. And France was only a one-hour trip inside the border for a photo op so I could say I'd been there. I'd love to visit England, Holland, and Norway, where my ancestors came from.
But I've been all over the U.S.: Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Phoenix, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Oklahoma City, Hot Springs, Memphis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Omaha, Sioux Falls, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York City, Atlanta, and Orlando, just to name the 'biggies' off the top of my head.
Once you get past all the McDonalds and Holiday Inns, the USA is a vast conglomeration of diverse and interesting places. On my 'must do' list are Bangor, Boston, Charlotte, Miami, Albuquerque, and New Orleans, for sure, plus just about everywhere else I've never been.
Andorra, Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kenya, Luxemburg, Malta, Morocco, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Spain, Thailand, Turkey and USA :)
I've been to California and Florida, but the New York state is the real dream, I have to go there soon :)
Very interesting... I hadn't realized before what an internationally-aware group we C128 users are. ;)
My international travels started in 1966, courtesy of the US Navy. After I got out, I got involved with the transportation industry and found myself wandering all over the place. At one time I had aspirations of visiting Asia, but lost interest. As I said, Ireland and Down Under are my two remaining destinations. I seriously doubt, though, that I will ever get well enough to make such long trips, especially to Oz.
BTW, did anyone watch the Super Stars of Dance TV program hosted by Michael Flatley? Oz's dance team came in at number two. Their duet couple was especially good. What surprised me was that the Irish team got knocked out of the running.

I believe in the adage that travel gives you a greater awareness of the world and its peoples.
Especially if they have Commodores! ;)

Well, technically, when you visited Saudi Arabia, you did go to Asia. :)

A few minutes of it when I was crossing the channels. It was when the Shaolin monks were "dancing". It was edited so much that I gave up on it and changed channels.
I'm not a fan of reality t.v., though sometimes I'll watch COPS or reruns of the defunct show, World's Most Dangerous Car Chases.

Wow, you guys have seen the world. I've only been to Greece, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, California (Roseville, Sacramento, San Francisco) and Boise Idaho.
Man it's hot today in Melbourne... 43 Degrees Celsius yesterday, 42 today and 43 tomorrow (that's around 107/109 Fahrenheit).
For which I'm exceedingly glad I'm in Mexico at the moment!

I just checked, and the forecast for Mexico City is a low tonight of 7ºC and a high tomorrow of 24ºC. Not much different from where I'm at (low tonight of 1ºC and high tomorrow of 22ºC). Winter is a good time to be in this part of the world. ;)

In Sweden we've had around 0ºC for about a month. But I'm going skiing in the northern part of Sweden next week, and about 10 days ago they had -25ºC. That's cold!
