Title: ATN contact - is there any cable?
Post by: MIRKOSOFT on February 15, 2009, 07:08 AM
As I wrote, I want to do a swtcher to enable/disable internal 1571 of C128DCR at ATN contact U113 pin1.
You written to me that it's under drive mechanism. Before I dismount C1571 from side of C128DCR I want only ask:
What's there, at U113? How is it done? Is there any cable to cut or must I soldering?
It's important for me 'cause I'm not good in soldering...
Thanks for all.

here is a article on how to do it properly  http://alanger.net/comm/misc/big_page.html  , you must cut a circuit wire trace and insert a switch to diable drive, and then turn it on to enable the drive, but you may just want to change the drive number to alieveate your problem.
