Yes, I believe you're right. The Fed's even went so far as to limit the amount of water that can be flushed from the toilet. All it did was force people to flush twice to get everything down.

It's all just a revenue scam. When the reason for the tax goes away, the Government never removes the tax.

They are talking now about putting GPS chips on all automobiles, so they can tax the owner for every mile he/she drives.

I'm reminded of the 1ยข/gal tax on gasoline that was instituted by the U.S. federal government in the 1930s as a "temporary tax"...

Yes, Australian history is littered with those sorts of taxes as well.
