Title: replacing the internal RF modulator?
Post by: rogueclown on June 18, 2009, 11:49 AM
i have a C128...most of it works fantastically, but the output is extremely fuzzy.   i have it hooked out of the RCA jack to the coaxial input on a (fairly new flat-screen) TV set.

is there any way to repair or replace the internal RF modulator box, or am i stuck trying to find a really old monitor in order to get a clear picture?  i've opened up the computer and taken a look, but i want to make sure that i'm not going to irreparably destroy the computer if i start tinkering around with it.

thanks for any help you can provide.

Are you using the 40-columns out of the C128?  If so, then go composite video out of the computer to composite in to the t.v..  You can even get away with taking the composite out of the C128s RGB connection to the composite in to the t.v..
