Hi, everybody,
Is there a kernal replacement rom for the PET 2001 done in the form of an eprom? Does anyone own a kernal rom in .hex or .bin file to burn on a eprom programmer? Schematics would be appreciated.

The rom images and schematics you can find on zimmersnet: http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/ (http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/)
If there is a simple replacement for the defective rom, depends on the type of rom.
What board assy are you talking about?
If you have a mainboard with 6540 rom's then there is no direct replacement for them.
I did make a single rom adaptor ones: http://members.lycos.nl/ijmtu/hpbimg/6540replacement.jpg (http://members.lycos.nl/ijmtu/hpbimg/6540replacement.jpg)
but these are just to much work to produce and I stopped making these.
There is a German guy who is selling ram/rom adaptors for CBM, you might want to have a look here: http://freenet-homepage.de/x1541/hardware/index.html (http://freenet-homepage.de/x1541/hardware/index.html)
