Title: I'mmm back
Post by: c64geezer on October 13, 2009, 02:47 AM
Guess I had missed the post about moving to new server/?
Thought the forum had just down due to finances, maintenance, or something.
I just found it here.
Glad it is still here.
Now to get caught up on 128 happenings :)

Welcome back!  The C128 still isn't dead.  BDD, RobertB, Wiskow, and as usual, Airship, are frequent posters.  Also MIRKOSOFT seems to need a lot of help.  I'm back too, due in no small part to last winter's ice storm; this winter better be better...

Heh, Andrew Wiskow seems to be doing most of his posting on Facebook.  :)  As of yesterday, his last Facebook posting was on October 9.

I think Andrew is still out in the middle of nowhere, somewhere.  Military duty can do that to you.  :D

Welcome!  You wouldn't happen to have lived in Orlando, FL back in the day?  Just curious as "geezer" was an avid BBS user in our scene.  Not that he had the (C) on the moniker! ;-)

Hey!  Watch it with the old geezer stuff.  Just because I'm a broken-down old dinosaur with no platelets doesn't mean I'm ready for a retirement home.  :D

Platelets are overrated. In MY day we couldn't afford platelets! Nobody could - and we LIKED it!  :-X

maraud, it wasn't me. Never been to Florida.
Mostly raised in Alaska but for the moment, living in Idaho.

As for Platelets, if they're going the way of the "grey matter", then I'm in deep doo-doo ;)

Yeah, I try to keep active on Facebook to keep my family and friends informed on what's going on in my life here, and to keep in touch with them as well.  I try to check up on this forum as often as I can, too, but I haven't had time to keep up with most of the other C= forums...  definately not enough time in the day!  ;)

Heh, not enough time these days for me, too, what with going to work, editing AmiWest Show videos, and writing newsletter articles.  :)

Quotedefinitely not enough time in the day!
I've heard that on the other side of the world it's daytime when it's nighttime here. Must be tough trying to get any sleep when the sun's up 24/7.

I think the guys in OZ have the same problem, though they're on the earth's nether side, so I guess it might be dark there all the time. But if it is, how can they see to catch kangaroos?

I wish I knew more about science.
