Glenn Holmer has released geoLink, a networked application using the ip65 network stack which runs on a Commodore 64 under GEOS. (Note: through GEOS conversion programs, it may be possible to convert it to 80-columns and run it under GEOS 128.)

Ahhh .. so a GEOS based network server might be possible then ? ;-)
Though I think 80column might be problematic .. as soon as you go 80 column don't you also go 2Mhz ? And do any of the ethernet carts run at 2Mhz ?

No - 80 column runs in either Fast or Slow mode.

I base that statement on my experiences with Bo Zimmerman's GEOS program, Major ReOrg, which not only is a disk directory editor but also lets you reset the display flag from 40-columns to 80-columns. I have had some success in converting GEOS programs which were just 40-column to being both 40-column and 80-columns. (I have not tried Major ReOrg on geoLink yet.)
You can find the download and more information about Major ReOrg at
