Title: Keyrah and C128 keyboard...
Post by: MIRKOSOFT on December 29, 2009, 05:21 AM
Hi!

I have maybe stupid idea, but, I want to write about...

In attachment is picture of layout of keys at PC keyboard.

Really I'm not good in hardware solutions, but can somebody wire the keys as is shown?

Or have better layout?

(In my layout are added three keys: PRINT SCREEN (same as PC) - hardcopy of current screen, GO64 (Scroll Lock at PC) and DELETE LINE (Delete at PC)

I'm interrest in Keyrah interface and if I can have this keyboard, it can be super!

Who wants to try it? Payment is of course. And if it will be good, publish wiring for more users...

Maybe it's stupidity, but really need sb. to do it, if it is possible.

Great idea, though using the work Keyrah is abit misleading.  Keyrah is a device to turn a 128/D/64 into a USB keyboard to be used on a modern PC, not the other way around which you describe.

That said, I'd LOVE to do it.  It be fantastic to have a modern keyboard on my 128D and 64....  then I could tuck them away under the desk and just use a normal keyboard....  Ahhh the possibilities...

There is a device that enables you to replace a standard C64 keyboard with any PC PS/2 compatible keyboard. It's the guys at ide64.org that has developed it. It doesn't really say if it can be used with the C128 or not, but if you take a closer look at the circuit board it looks like it says "C128" next to the holes at the bottom of the board.

Click here (http://www.ide64.org/pckeyb.html) to link to the homepage of the device.
