Title: WANTED: Commodore 2031LP or SFD-1001
Post by: cbm-ii on January 13, 2010, 02:29 AM
Hello :)

I'm looking currently looking for 2031LP or SFD-1001 drive, but I haven't had much luck in finding one.  Could someone point me to where I might find one or does anyone have one they're willing to sell?  I'm looking for one in good working order.

Thank you!

I have neither, but it seems nowadays most of those are sold on German eBay. Check user ibay_1000 (http://myworld.ebay.de/ibay_1000/), a guy who inherited a whole storage room full of Commodore stuff. He has been known to sell quite a number of SFD-1001's lately, dunno about the 2031LP though. Beware though that not all units are complete and working, but the seller is honest enough to point it out.

Hi carlsson,

Thank you for the reply.  I checked out his profile, but he doesn't currently seem to have any items for sale or recently sold.  I will keep an eye on his auctions to see if he posts any though.

I should have mentioned in my original post that I live in the U.S. Hopefully I can find something on this side of the ocean to avoid problems with having to convert the power supply over.  And maybe reduce the shipping cost a bit.  :)

Hello,  I have an SFD 1001 in working order with a 117VAC voltage input on the plate (It comes with a transformer that steps down from European 240v).  It uses the IEEE interface. I have used it with my C64.  If you are interested in buying then then please send me a PM.  I am in the UK.  Best wishes John
