Title: 128DCR Extension
Post by: maraud on March 23, 2010, 04:51 AM
Hey there,

I'd like to hook up an extension cable to my 128DCR.  Would a standard pass-though DB25 serial cable work?

For the keyboard? Yes, but only if all 25 pins are connected. Many DB25 serial cables don't have every pin connected.

Hi!

That's true. If you buy standard DB25 cable all seems ok, keys are working correctly, but I tried to go to menu of 1541Ultimate and there it has more mistakes, so rather I disconnected this extension.

Good to know.  Maybe I'll try one of the DB25 pass-through cables that work on the LtKernal.

Maybe the extension was too long, or it's a shielding issue?

I've used one that was about 2-3 feet long with my 128T and didn't notice any issues.
