Title: Internet and Comet64
Post by: MIRKOSOFT on October 16, 2010, 05:54 PM
Hi!

I have very simple Q:

Is possible to connect to every internet location with Comet64?

Why I'm asking? In Comet64 manual I read only about CommodoreServer commands...

So, is possible to work with Comet64 like RR-Net (I know that's not compatible)?

Many thanks.

Miro

Hi Miro,

You can connect to any Internet IP Address & Port by configuring the device.  You might first look at the following blog post that I put together that tells how to change configuration via your Commodore:

http://www.commodoreserver.com/BlogEntryView.asp?EID=E32942483EA9411DAA21A096AD6AEDDD

Once the Server's IP address/port is set, any data that you write to the RS-232 port will automatically be sent to the server.

I would recommend following blogs at CommodoreServer.com for details about configuration, programming, and use with the Comet64.
