Hi!
I want to burn 32kB image of CMD-HD BOOTROM "CMD_HD_BOOTROM_v280.bin".
Which type I need?
I mean commercial label/name.
Many thanks for every help.
Miro
Hi Miro!
You need a 27256/27C256 EPROM.
Best regards.
Thank you very much!
I found in e-shop these:
27 C 256-120-PLCC (1,19â,¬)
27 C 256-70 (2,31â,¬)
27 C 256-70 PLCC (0,96â,¬)
27 C 256-70I-OTP (0,86â,¬)
27 C 256-70-OTP (0,83â,¬)
So, which?
Thank you.

The 27C256-70 will work for you if it is in a 28 pin JEDEC package. The PLCC won't plug into the socket and OTP means "one-time program," meaning you can't erase and reprogram it.
I guess you could need something as this (http://progshop.com/images/products/chips/DIP28UV-500-342.jpg), but You must see where You'll connect the EPROM to buy it with the correct package.
DIL package (http://progshop.com/images/products/chips/DIP28UV-500-342.jpg)
PLCC package (http://progshop.com/images/products/chips/PLCC32-500-330.jpg)
Many many thanks.
I think I need DIL package.
In attachment is photo of EPROM socket.
Yes, You need a DIL package with window (not OTP) EPROM.
Best Regards.
Alfonso.

That's a 28 pin x 600 mil socket. A 27C256 EPROM in a DIP package will work fine.
Miro - Not sure if you managed to get the v2.80 rom burned or not. You can also contact Jim (user: Brain here at 128 alive). He has hooked me up with 2.80 roms for both of my CMD HD units. And if you are using larger mechanisms and want the full 16mb per partition - I highly recommend using the 2.80 rom.

Hi!
I contacted company here in Slovakia, burning one chip is ~2 EUR, so price lower and I gave to burn more chips and can contact again.
For me is 4GB capacity full ok, I have also IEC-ATA HDD 6GB and uIEC/IDE+CF HDD 20GB and CF card 2GB...
So, CMD HD needs not so many datas, but is very nice solution, functions and all enhancements of HD-DOS 2.80 is perfect!
Thank you for references.
