Hi!
I have simple Q:
Commodore 128/D/DCR has onboard U36 EPROM socket for own EPROMs.
Is possible to use Datel 2 Way Kernal Board to switch btw. two EPROMs?
For example:
I have in U36 BASIC8, I use Datel 2 Way Kernal Board , and add TASM128, will it work?
2 WAY KERNAL has switcher, so :
The Q meaning: that U36 is 28-pin DIP. Is Datel 2 Way Kernal Board also 28-pin DIP?
If is, why don't use it on U36?
Thanks for every reply.

You would have to ask the seller of the device.

Hi Robert!
So, it is possible if it is 28-pin DIP... or so...
btw. you're really C128 GURU... I have Q for you and also other fans, wants anybody help (it's not important how to help) with creating ACE128 OS?
I didn't contact Jason Lapp yet, but I want to give name of the OS:
ACE128 TS: Advanced Commodore Environment 128 TEAM SYSTEM
So, I invite everyone...!

Hi!
I found high-resolution pictures and sure is that Datel 2 Way Kernal socket has 28-pins.
So, I think that board must have also.
U36 (EPROM scoket on-board C128) has 28-pins also, so, maybe it will work,.
I'm awaiting package.

It would be interessting to know for what CBM machine the Datel Kernal Switcher is designed for.
If its a C64 I kernal switch, it usually switches A13 of the kernal ROM. If it's designed for the C64 II (ASSY 250469), it should switch A14. For selecitng two 32k EPROM Banks in U36 it should switch A15.
Problem is real:
24-pin board / 28-pin socket - not possible to use
It will be easy to do:
Get the pinout of the socket and the pinout of the desired eprom, for example 64k or more.
In the pins of the eprom not located in the board put a binary switch like this:
