Hi folks. :)
Great to see this forum and already, within days of it appearing, there's plenty of good stuff to download :)
Just added Basic8 and GEOS2.0 rom images for everyones enjoyment. I have more rom images to upload but they're on my computer at work (he, he - that's where the eprom programmer is) so I'll sort them out later.
The uploader mangled my instructions on how to start Basic8 in rom - hold the CONTROL key down during system boot until the startup message appears.
Lets hope this place turns into _the_ C128(D(CR)) site!
Best
Paul.
Hihi
Seems to be going that way already :p
Nice to see someone else on here from my corner of the world too o.o
Omigod! I registered when I saw the announcement about rwo weeks ago --- what an enormous amount of activity since then! Wow! What can I say, I'm impressed!
Yeah, Lance has done a great job with the site. Goes to show you how much support there is out there for the 128.
Seems to be slowing down a tad though......

Oh I dunno - around 20 new posts since I last visited 2 days ago, I suspect a lot of people don't know about the site yet. maybe lance should run a competition & award a prize to the person who posts the most links to the site - hey lance, can the board track referrers ?

If you mean what i think you mean, sort of, yes - if someone sends a link to a topic (which I currently don't have enabled, but can do so if people want it) to another person & the receiver clicks on the link, then yes. As far as tracking the referrer from another site, I don't believe it's possible to tie in a specific user to that - it only shows the site.
cheers,
Lance
The site will go in cycles... people will come in for awhile, then leave, then come back. Not unusual for a hobbist site, and given that most of us have busy lives. I think the key thing though, is to be a resource that people will learn about, and know is there when needed. Theres far too many C64 game sites out there, and very few C128 general sites. Yet Id say more people use a 128 today than a 64, since it can do both. And more people probably use the 128 for apps and interfacing projects than old C64 games. Speculative perhaps. But I think for alot of reasons a site like this is very much needed. Id like to get a GEOS only site going also.
