Post by: Andrew Wiskow on April 18, 2007, 12:58 AM
I've put up a Commodore 128DCR (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110115892726) on eBay.  Low serial number, made in West Germany, starting bid only 99ยข!

I should probably mention that I've got some other Commodore items (http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwiskowQQhtZ-1) up for auction on eBay as well, so be sure to check out those, too!  ;)

Sweet!

I didn't realize their European facilities were used for producing American units.  Always assumed the PCs were from US and the drives from Asia.

Yeah, I always assumed the same thing...  This one is the only one I've ever seen that's made in West Germany.  The other one I have, which is now running Cottonwood BBS (http://hometown.aol.com/cottonwoodbbs), is made in Taiwan.

I also discovered that this 128DCR that I'm selling has 64K Video RAM (do all 128D's have it?).  Just about the only thing it doesn't[/b] have is JiffyDOS...  But that can be added easily enough...  :-)
