Unfortunately, the same thing happened to me on ebay about a year ago.  Someone pawned off an amiga mouse as a 1351.

QuoteFWIW, a 1351 mouse has a plastic sub-mini D connector going into the port, and the Amiga 1352 mouse has a shiny metal band wrapped around the sub-mini D connector

Yep, educating oneself about the hardware sure saves headache.  But then again, I guess that's how we learn.

Justice served Ebay ruled in my favor and made the seller refund my money!  It's funny how many bogus 1351 adds are on there lately!

I figured out my problem with my *supposed* 1351 mouse.  Turns out it's an Amiga tank mouse (which looks just like the 1351).  The seller refuses to answer my emails and ebay is not willing to do anything about it, even though it was falsely advertised.  Beware.  I see someone else on ebay selling off  Amiga mice as 1351 mice.  That sort of work but they cause all kinds of havok with the keyboard controls and such.

Dr V.,
or anyone else. I recently also picked up a 1351 Mouse (not 1350) and noticed that when I plug it into either the C64 or C128(in C64 mode) that it disables certain characters on the keyboard (both Joyport 1 and 2)...is this normal?

Also, in C128 native mode, the on-screen basic cursor just goes nuts (move and has random characters) constantly.  This is when plugged into Joy port 1.

Is this normal (it's been to long for me to remember those days).   It does  seem to work fine in joystick mode when in a game.  Just concerned about what its doing when plugged in and just in basic mode. I don't have GEOS64 or 128 to test it in at the moment.
