My mistake.  They only stole your "idea". Got it.

I wonder, how many other deluded morons believe this kind of thing?

Yes, you attacked no one....

I suppose we peasants shan't ever be allowed to have conversations above our "limited intelligence"

And just to butter the other side of the bread, I don't claim that hollywood stole my star trek script....

FFS, what a tool.....

Yes, YOU know nothing about C4 therefore, I am wrong.

That douche at rear admiral requested 3 tables with power at C4 this year, then failed to show up.  he made an agreement with one of or board members to help with his drive, again, a fail.

I can't help he is too cheap to have real webhosting and has bullshit spam in all his links.

What I can observe is you think you know everything and apparently came here to bash everyone who doesn't agree with you.

LTK, a niche artifact....

There are more options today than any other time, who the f**k would want a LTK to USE?  Want to collect it? I get that, but do not try to tell me there are very many people USING a LTK on any kind of regular basis.  uIEC?  I would bet more than 100 using them regularly....

anyway, your tone is that of REAR ADMIRALs when discussing the "super new LTK clones", so my money is still on you are him.....

Hrm... a new user account just to point out a LT. Kernal auction to a post regarding wanting one....  odd...

Not just a post, but a glowing review of the auction and the seller.

Here is my take(and a lot of other peoples take)

That auction was posted by this guy:  http://rearadmiral.org/

Who made all kinds of claims in regards to producing new LT. Kernal drives.  By (allegedly) doing this, he got a great number of people very excited.  He was to come to C4, he needed 3 tables, he was even supposed to help a fellow club member recover his BBS from his LT. Kernal drive mech from the late 80s!!!!!  He let slip his price point to a member, around the same price as they were when new!!!

Whaaaaaa????

Then he lists the auction with a BIN around where he wants to sell his clones.  well, it only gets bid up to $150.... a big dissapointment.  He then fails to show up at C4, leaves the club in the lurch for his tables and goes silent (at least to us)

Oh, and in the course of advertising (or spreading FUD) he says things like:

The LTK is the ONLY non-Commodore Storage
System providing Full Native Support of USR (user)
and REL (relative) Files. Other systems can
only (at best) emulate USR files but not REL files.

Hmmmm.... this seems to be an outright falsehood....

Really.  Only the LTK can support REL files?  REALLY?

So all the BBS running on CMD drives have somehow skirted the need for REL files?

Oh, and I also heard (from a reliable source aka Jim Brain) that REL files are supported on the uIEC.  Yeah. Weird.

so, big bulky, LTK clone for $700+ or a nice tiny uIEC for $55.... no brainer (no pun intended) to me....

I have decided to part with my SuperPET.  It is in excellent condition and works flawlessly. $325+ shipping.

You will be hard pressed to find another one in this condition (unless you bought one from Golan a few years ago)

I have a 2031lp I would consider parting with, make offer!

Yes, Wiz is a great guy, but he isn't here offering to solve Blacklords dilemma.  Hellion is the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Clubs Ebay Sales and Publicity Manager and an all around great guy.

His VDC expansion is also an original not a clone by alee650.  Nothing wrong with clones if you call them clones and know what you are getting.

CCCC has a long standing history of excellent support of the community.  Show your support of one of the last, true, active clubs.

Herdware / Re: C128 Diagnostics kit ?
November 02, 2009, 01:06 PM
never said they were nos, and would not use the term reputable for alee650.

I am fine with cloning hardware, but lying  and saying it is original (which he does) makes you a tool.

someone does, they are regularly on ebay, his username escapes me, but they are out there.

I have the schematic that Brain drew from my harness at C4 a few years ago as well.

Thats funny, as he already posted an image that showed the c64 version of the quicksilver.

Let me clear this up for you  all as I have first hand experience.  There were 3 (at least) IEEE interfaces for the c64 make by Skyles.

The IEEE FLASH, the quicksilver and the quicksilver 128.

The only difference in the 3 is the rom contents on the board.  If you open an IEEE Flash! it will say quicksilver right on the PCB.

On a 128 you must have the Kernal replacement (which is the rom file you linked to, and the only one floating around out there)

You can turn any IEEE Flash! or Quicksilver into a Quicksilver 128 by swapping the rom.

You make make a regular IEEE Flash! work in a 128 WITHOUT the rom being swaped if you:

a) have the kernal replacement in your 128

b) turn the dip switch to OFF when the 128 is powered up.

After you power up the 128, flip the DIP to on and you can access the devices.  its not perfect, but will do in a pinch.

I have the Quicksilver 128 ROM dump if you need it airship.

Auctions et al / pre-ebay sale
April 03, 2009, 04:18 PM
I have a few items that I have decided it is time for them to move on, my collection has overtaken far too much space.

I will accept reasonable offers for the following:

8250 Dual Disk Drive w/device # switch, excellent condition, in original box

1551 drive converted to North American power supply (from a 1541 of course)

Commodore amiga 2000 with 68030 accel from microbotics (vxl-30 with Ram-32 board) awsome accel.

1571 with RAMBOard/maverick speed control/JDOS(not that I think jdos adds a nickel to the price ) This is a special 1571, check out the internal pic: (warning, large pic)

http://c64.digitalscream.com/p...mboard.jpg

You can see the speed control know on the back in that pic

I have many more things, feel free to ask.

Also, please note that I have a clue about these things, so please do not waste my time with ridiculous offers,

Thanks!

Edit: It has been brought to my attention that some people will not understand what ridiculous offers mean, let me clear that up. anything under $100 on ANY of these items will receive no response (also note that offers of $101 are likely not to be accepted either, except for the amiga, none of these things can be considered common)

Did you sell the 128d keyboards?  I do not remember seeing them on ebay.

The answer to can you test them without a 128d is yes, if you have an SX.  It will work fine, provided you can plug it in, I butchered an old serial extension cable to make it connect.

I can assure you, no one but a student could be terrified of you.....

Having worked in commercial datacenters for the last 9 years, let me tell you a little about the host doing a back-up for you.  Do not count on it!!!  figure a schedule and means to dump the db somewhere other than their backup and get it out of their facility.
