I am working on something similar to this device based on  the AD72X series ( Probably AD724...should get my sample soon, just waiting to get an oscilloscope )

General chat / Picking up a C= monitor today
March 24, 2008, 05:44 AM
In about two hours, I get to get a new Monitor a Commodore 1080. which at the very least will give me better 40 col output, and from what I understand will do 80col ttl ( rgbi), but I cannot find a manual for it online.

Also bundled in is an Amiga 1000 with printer and manuals....that might be fun since I have never used an amiga.

CC65 / Re: cc65 for debian v2.11.0

You also might want to consider putting them in /etc/profile so all users ( bourne ) have the variables

I am not familiar with Super C, but you might want to try printf instead of print.

All I have made a simple modification to the ASMPlugin eclipse plugin which can be found here http://sourceforge.net/projects/asmplugin/

My modifications allow the use of a different instruction set file, previously only x86 was available. The change is made in the preference pages and requires that eclipse be restarted for it to take effect.

You can grab the plugin at http://commodore.earlicker.com/asmPlugin/asmPluginExtended.zip and an instruction set file for the 6502 here http://commodore.earlicker.com/asmPlugin/6502_instruction_set.xml

I am in the process of adding the cc65 toolchain for the Eclipse CDT plugin. Any interest?

Andrew,
Thanks for the offer!
Unfortunately I am in Texas ( more than an easy drive to La ). I do see that http://www.commodorecomputercenter.com/ lists the DPS-1101 for sale. But I know nothing about that store.  I guess I will keep my eyes peeled on ebay, which is my current source for all things commodore.

Welcome to the forums / Greetings
February 16, 2008, 02:19 AM
Greeting all,
I am new to the board, and am a new 128 owner, I just got it last week and have fallen in love with it....A built in ml monitor! I am a longtime c64 user ( mainly for the synth stuff, and some games ). I do alot of software hacking, mainly perl. And some hw hacking on the Z80. I am looking to do some projects on the 128. Primarily a good 80 col RGBI -> something more modern converter, I already have a couple of ideas.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here!

Herdware / Printers and printing
February 15, 2008, 03:15 PM
Hi everyone,
I am a new member here. I just got a 128 in the past week ( I have used the C64 of and on for over two decades).
Here is my dilema...my oki line printer ( IEC) finally bit the dust.

What do y'all recommend for printing from DOS, in text only? I have an omnitronix deluxe rs232 interface but have never used it. I am assuming that printing from userport requires some more work, and I would like to keep that for serial to Unix machine.
Are used IEC printers ( ebay ) worthwile? Do interfaces exist for IEC->RS232 for line printing?

again,
Hello everyone
