Assembly / Re: 128 MLM Disassembly - with Comments

Sorry for being off topic, but here in germany Data Becker was "famous" for publications full of mistakes and bugs. This together with translation errors should be kept in mind. Just for the record...

Accessing this site via 1&1 seems to be possible. But sometimes I have problems with my main isp Netcologne (a local carrier in cologne- and aachen-area in germany).

Just a note: 1&1 and Schlund und Partner belong to united internet. 1&1 uses the infrastructure of TelefónicaDeutschland GmbH.

Thank you very much, Wagner. Your post gives me an idea on how to start. I will come back if I've a question.

And here are the first two questions. (:

If I want to load data from disk into the upper banks, I have to buffer them in bank0 (the c64 memory)?

Are there any development tools for the c128 out there? Virtual- and Sirius Assembler seems to be designed for the c64.

I thought there was something like a SuperCPU programmers guide included. How to program a 65816 is only a part of the question. I have no clue how to move code and data into the SuperRAM and start it.

My idea is that I have to move startup-code (maybe like REU) into the SuperRAM to take control (by storing the startadress into the SuperCPU registers) on the whole system. But thats just an idea. As I mentioned before, some code snippets would be fine for the beginning.

128 programmers / SuperCPU programming
August 18, 2010, 10:10 PM
Hello,

while searching the net for informations on how to program for the SuperCPU I ran into this site http://ftp.giga.or.at/pub/c64/supercpu/superprog.html. The last paragraph says that there was a SuperCPU Programmers Kit announced . Is this kit real? Are there copies available? Are there any other publications dealing with the SuperCPU native-mode available? Even a code snipped which shows how to move code and data into the SuperCPU and start it from there is welcome.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I found this http://pages.prodigy.net/snogpitch/lib8.html while googleing. But I can't find it on http://cbmfiles.com/genie/index.php. Any reason why? Is there another online-source for the complete commodore related GEnie files?

January 21, 2010, 03:49 AM
Hi,

I ran into this site[1] by accident. It is an development kit for a snes which is equiped with a 65816. Now I asked myself if it's possible to use it to develop native software for the supercpu?

I checked ebay for the id Robert mentioned. Result was negative. Even no success with clickheresoftware. But there is an mauricerandall on ebay, who is inactive since 2007, but some comments sounds like he sold some commodre stuff in the past. Maybe...

Gideon Zweigtzer of the 1541 Ultimate has a SuperCPU, which he is studying.

Rumor or fact? I read last year that some guys from gb wanted to lend him such a device.

I hope that the technical knowledge of the CMD products won't get lost. I guess that a lot of the items are hard or maybe impossible to produce nowerdays because some electronical parts are out of production and current parts may need some redesigns.  Maybe some talented developers can create 100% clones of SCPU, HD and FD based on FPGAs and flash memory with this knowlede. I have products like 1541U or Chameleon in mind which are mainly based on FPGAs. But who knows...

Look at this statement on http://shop.cmdrkey.com/:

QuoteClick Here Software - Online Store

posted November 26, 2009

Our online store is currently closed. We might reopen it in the future.

Products for all current orders that have been paid for will be built and shipped as soon as we are able to. Thank you to all for your patience.

Check back sometime in January, 2010, as we will be starting a new weekly online auction. We have too much stuff in our warehouse and need the room. There will be different products each week, mostly Commodore and CMD related items, new and used.

Welcome to the forums / hello from germany
November 09, 2008, 07:44 AM
Hi,

my name is Frank and I come from germany. My first computer was a c64 back in 1983. When the C128 came out I was really interested but in the end I prefered an A1000. This was the end of my 8-bit activities. Since some month I own a C128D (my C64 is still here together with some other stuff). Now I want to enjoy what I maybe missed because of my 16-bit-trip.
