Proposal : PDF 128 specific magazine

All,

I'd like to get a PDF C128 specific magazine started.

The plans are to distribute this via downloadable PDF on a monthly basis.

To do this, I need help from the community - ie article submissions, letters contributors, product reviews (software & hardware), news etc.

I plan on having the first issue released in December.

Who'd like to help contribute ?

I would love to. :-).  

What is the format going to be?  (as in font, font size, layout, etc).  Or should we, atleast for now, send you txt files?

I love to sit down and write every now and then.

(I think all in all I have 40 submissions so far including reviews, editorials, tutorials and others.  and I have the biggest letters to the editors in there lol.

Surprisingly, yes - but there'll also be other 'stuff' - GEOS column, programming columns, PD stuff - there's a lot actually.

Ok guys - what we need to get started :

Reviews & cover scans (if possible) of commercial software & significant shareware or PD software
Tips of all kinds
Reviews & images of 128 specific hardware (or at least hardware that adds something to 128 usability)
Programming items
General letters
General articles on any relevant subject


To give you an idea, here's a bit of a basis for the contents :

Editorial (that'll be from me)
Articles - general purpose articles
Letters - whatever you want to write about
Programming - broken up by language & type (eg demos, graphics, sound etc)
Product info - new, old & in between
Emulation
Help Key - tech help
Reviews - software

Send submissions to magazine@landover.no-ip.com (use this one as I've set the attachment size at unlimited)

Sounds like a good idea - do you think though that there is enough material to run this monthly ? a suggestion - maybe make it an irregular mag that gets published when you have enough "stuff" to put in it ? I'd be willing to contribute in any way I can though.

With the rather excellent Commodore Free magazine, I've (temporarily at least) decided not to go a head with this - however that being said, I'll give all the articles that I've prepared to Commodore Free to publish (or not) as Nigel sees fit.
