I see Christian Lott & Rick Balkins are off on a tangent again - coming up with some hare-brained scheme to build a "modern" C128 .......

I immediately blocked that thread as soon as I saw the subject combined with the author.  Nowhere good that could go.  Nowhere.

Christian Lott is just an agitator, harmless for the most part, and Rick 'Wildstar' Balkins is a borderline  retard. As long as I'm on the topic, even though he doesn't post to c.s.c anymore it warrants mentioning that Paul 'dunric' Panks is severely mentally ill. I exchanged email with Christian and he was intelligent and pleasant. I'm not sure why he adopts the Usenet persona that he does. The other two can't help themselves.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed an sharp increase in the number of morons lately?

Christian tried to hijack a post on my ITtoolbox blog by going off about Bill Gates and Planned Parenthood, as if not supporting Linux meant I was by default supporting Planned Parenthood because Gates is a contributor.  I love what Gates has done for the IT industry, and I think he gets a very raw deal in the media, but I don't agree with any kind of support of Planned Parenthood.  Where does that leave me?  Knowing that the true flaw with Gates is his personal politics and not his business politics.

I exchanged quite a few emails with Paul about 4 years ago & his persona was rather different to the C.S.C. one. Bizarre how some people seem to change on the NG's isn't it ? That being said though, before paul went away he was posting some increasingly odd posts.

Got some of his games, they aren't too bad actually....


As for the amount of loonies coming out, well, yeah, but you tend toi get that in waves in usenet.
