Slightly OT but anyway.....

Went down to Penrith today to Target (who seem to be the outlet for the 'new' Commodore here in Australia) & finally got myself a DTV, can't wait to rip it apart & modify the thing, but it'll have to wait until I get that rare resource 'free time'.

Also got myself the new Commodore MP3 player - this is *not* on the Commodore site, but you can see a picture of it at http://www.target.com.au/html/catalogue1966/1966e01.htm.

Nice little unit, my current MP3 player is Creative job, only 256mb. The MP3 is actually a rebranded 'Muse', made in China. The finish is cheapish feeling plastic, unlike the Creative's 'enamelled' look & feel (it has stronger plastic too). However, the Creative player cost me $129.

Finally, after 13 years (an A600 was my last purchase), I get not one, but *two* new C= products :P

Looked at one of these (the Muse player) , they look a bit 'plastic' & cheapish, is it robust ?

Fairly, it doesn't have the same build quality as other name brands on the market, but then again, the price is substantially cheaper than similar units - I guess you get what you pay for! No serious complaints from me though.

Cute player!  Too bad I don't have a fast Internet connection nor equipment with which to transfer music into the player.  :-)
Ah, the problems with only having Commodores/Amigas at home with a 56K modem.

It's a USB device - there are after-market add-ons for that for Amigas - what model do you have ?

cheers,

Lance

A500's, A600, A3000's, A4000's, and A1200's (including one in a tower).  However, the 56K modem connection will put a damper on downloading heaps of music.
