I missed Leif Bloomquist's announcement of his latest release of BBS Server on August 5th on the PETSCII Forums.  Here's a quote of his post there:

Quote from: schemaClocky's post on comp.sys.cbm finally gave me the push I needed to finish this ;-)

'                ATS0 will put BBS back on-hook.

To further explain what "Port for Outgoing calls is now a Long (was Integer)" means...  Previously, BBS Server would only allow outgoing calls to ports up to 32767.  This wasn't a problem until Inner Circle II was set up running C-Net 128 on port 64000.  With this new version, you can now make calls to his BBS from a real Commodore computer using BBS Server 1.4a on a PC.  :)

Last week I tried to telnet to Eddie's BBS on my C128DCR (without BBS Server on a PC), but all I got was garbage characters.  I'll try again tonight.

I'm not sure about last week, but I called in last night and connected just fine.  He's been working with Eric Pearson, who owns C-Net 128, to fix bugs and make it more "Telnet compatible".  They're up to revision 5 so far.  It's really looking good!  :)

Dear God I hope so.. if they can get C-Net more "telnet-able", then we are inches from getting it to work under VICE.  C-Net 128 is my absolute favorite system.   Right now Im running Image, and its ok, but slow.
